All too often I meet people from all walks of life who want to do something special… Maybe write a CD, begin a business, climb a mountain, learn to paint. The list goes on.
When I ask them what stops them, they usually reply, “I haven’t the time”, “I can’t because I’m scared I’ll make a mistake”, “I’ll get round to it someday” etc. Let me tell you folks that waiting for someday leads to a road called no-where.
Folks, life is really short. Having colitis reminds me of the fragility of life. If there is something you want to do, do it. Figure out what it is that you want to do, break it down into small bite sized bits and go for it. That’s how Art from the Heart was built. It’s how the school of art was built. Take the first step.
I remember sitting in my living room two and a half years ago thinking, “well I have this time on my hands, why not start an art class?” So, I broke it down…What would I need? Where would I do it? What would I teach? Venue, materials, marketing etc. Now I’m happy to announce that we are one of if not, the largest private art teaching school in South Ayrshire seeing some 40 students a week. Thats in just 2 1/2 years.
When you reach your goal don’t just stop there, but continue to develop and build on your dreams.
Don’t let fear stop you. Figure out what you would like to do and begin working towards it.
Have a great day peeps…
